Army troops of Sector 3 ambush ISWAP Terrorists, nutrialised 3

The troops of Sector 3 Multinational Joint Force(MNJTF), Monguno, Operation Hadin Kai have successfully eliminated 3 Islamic State of the West African Province(ISWAP) terrorists in Borno state.

The feats were recorded on Sunday September 23, 2024 when the troops ambush the insurgents in Malam Fatori.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that
the incident occurred following an earlier engagement, during which troops had pushed back enemy forces before neutralizing three of the insurgents in a fierce engagement.

There were no fatalities among the Nigerian forces. However, two soldiers sustained injuries during the clash.

In the aftermath of the encounter, troops recovered weapons and equipment from the insurgents which include: 1 PKM machine gun,1 AK-47 rifle, 2 hand grenades, 5 magazines, 3 empty PKM links and 1 box of 200 linked PKM rounds among others.
