Bandits Abduct Residents, Injure Five in Zamfara Attack

Armed bandits suspected to be loyalists of a notorious kingpin, Bello Kaura, have attacked Adabka community in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, abducting an unspecified number of residents.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama on Friday that the attack occurred around 7 a.m. on Thursday.

 

The source said the community’s youths mobilized in an attempt to rescue the abducted residents but were ambushed by the bandits.

 

“The armed men opened fire on the youths, leaving five of them with fatal injuries,” the source said.

 

He added that the injured were taken to the General Hospital, Bukkuyum, for treatment, while security operatives were deployed to the area.
