Bandits attack Gidan Fulani village, targeted Police outpost in Zamfara

Suspected bandits have carried out a coordinated attack on Gidan Fulani village via Kasuwar Daji District in Kaura Namoda LGA in Zamfara state.
Zagazola gathered also that the Kasuwar Daji Police Out Station was also targeted by the armed attackers, who were in large numbers.
Personnel on duty, assisted by the Station’s SHP team, engaged the bandits in a brief firefight. Some bullets reportedly hit the walls of the Station during the encounter.
The bandits made away with four motorcycles belonging to the police personnel but later abandoned and set them ablaze after being trailed by troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA and the police . No casualties were recorded among the police or civilians.
Sources say monitoring of the area are ongoing, with security forces sustaining patrols to prevent further attacks.
