Bandits kill one, abduct others in Zurmi, Zamfara

Armed men suspected to be bandits have killed one person and abducted several others in Sanyawa area of Moriki District, Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Sources said that the attack occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on Feb. 10.
According to sources, the assailants shot dead one Lawali Musa before abducting an unspecified number of residents to an unknown destination.
Security forces were swiftly deployed to the scene to counter the attackers.
The sources said the corpse of the deceased was evacuated to the General Hospital, Moriki, for autopsy.
A manhunt for the fleeing suspects has been launched, with efforts focused on rescuing the abducted victims and arresting the perpetrators.
