Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Dalwa Village, 10 kilometers from Maiduguri along the Damboa-Molai road, on Monday night, destroying houses under construction by the Borno State Government.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the terrorists entered the village under the cover of darkness and targeted structures being built to aid the resettlement of displaced persons.

The attack caused significant damage to the structures at the construction site.

Zagazola understands that this is the third attack on the same facility in one months. The two other attacks were carried out with Improvised Explosive Devices.

The Borno State Government had initiated the housing project in Dalwa as part of its resettlement strategy to accommodate returning families displaced by insurgency. But the Boko Haram terrorists are doing everything possible to frustrate it.
