COAS Hosts Eid-el-Adha Luncheon for Troops in Abia

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu on Tuesday hosted an Eid-el-Adha luncheon for troops of 82 Division, Operation UDO KA, at the Forward Operating Base of 143 Battalion in Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia.
The COAS was represented at the event by the Commander, Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (CCEME), Maj.-Gen. AA Adereti.
Highlights of the event included the serving of meals to troops and the presentation of the COAS goodwill message by the Senior General Officer Headquarters (SGOH).
In the message, the army chief commended the troops for their sacrifices, dedication and commitment to ongoing operations aimed at restoring peace and security in the South-East.
Also in attendance were the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division, Maj.-Gen. OA Fadairo, the Commander 14 Brigade, Brig.-Gen. AM Dikko, the Chairman of Umunneochi Local Government Area, as well as representatives of other security agencies.
