GOC 8 Division Visits Troops, Inspects Road Project in Sokoto

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander, Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Maj.-Gen. BP Koughna, has visited troops deployed at Munwadata Outpost in Illela Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Military sources said the operational visit took place on May 26 and that the GOC was received by the Commanding Officer of 8 Division Special Holding Force Task Force Battalion.
According to the sources, the visit was aimed at assessing troops’ deployment and operational readiness within the area.
The GOC also inspected the progress of an ongoing road construction project being executed by Hi-tech Construction Company in the area.
The sources added that the visit ended peacefully without any incident.
