Corpse of man discovered in forest in Kaduna

Security forces have discovered the corpse of a man identified as Mallam Ishaku in Wasa Forest, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the corpse was discovered at about 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2026, by troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Sanga, deployed at Wasa Station, during a patrol of the area.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly attacked by unidentified criminals, who reportedly carted away his Boxer motorcycle.
The circumstances surrounding the attack and the identity of the perpetrators remain under investigation.
The corpse was subsequently evacuated and handed over to the Keystone Wasa Divisional Police for further necessary action.
Security forces are expected to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing and motorcycle theft.
