A farmer-herder clash has left three persons injured at Malul Village, Daffo District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Security sources said the incident occurred at about 1:40 p.m. on October 31, 2026, prompting troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), to respond to reports of a confrontation between farmers and herders.

The sources said troops arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.
The injured persons were identified as Mallam Suleiman Idi, a herder, and Mrs Nancy Agai and her son, Mr Henry Agai, both farmers.

They were subsequently evacuated to Cottage Hospital for medical attention.
Preliminary investigations reportedly revealed that the clash occurred when herders attempted to forcefully gain access to farmland where farmers were still harvesting their crops.

Following the incident, troops dominated the general area to prevent further escalation and avert possible reprisal attacks.

The troops remain deployed to maintain security and ensure the protection of lives and property in the area.
