FCT police raid criminal hideouts, arrest 48 suspects across divisions

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 48 suspects during coordinated night raids on identified criminal hideouts and black spots across the territory.
Police sources the operation, which took place on July 16 at about 11:40 p.m., involved police operatives from Jikwoyi, Apo, Nyanya, Karu, Wuse, Kubwa, Dutse-Alhaji, Utako, and Kurudu Divisions.
According to the Police sources, the raids targeted uncompleted buildings and other suspected hotspots used by criminals as hideouts within the various areas of responsibility.
During the operation, several suspects were arrested and a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp was recovered.
The suspects are currently undergoing screening and interrogation at their respective divisional commands.
Police authorities stated that suspects found culpable after investigation would be charged to court accordingly.
