Troops apprehend four suspected terrorists, recover arms in Kaduna

Troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have apprehended four suspected terrorists and recovered arms and other items during a fighting patrol in Kaduna State.
Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 1:00 p.m. on March 31 by troops of Tactical Headquarters, Sub-Sector 3, in collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force unit, 4135 Force Protection Wing.
According to the sources, the troops carried out a fighting patrol from Birnin Gwari Local Government Area to Kakangi in Giwa Local Government Area, where they sighted four armed suspects.
“The troops pursued and successfully apprehended the suspects during the operation,” the source said.
Items recovered from the suspects include one FN rifle, 37 rounds of 7.62 x 51mm ammunition, one camouflage uniform, two motorcycles, and the sum of ₦57,825.
Other items recovered are four cutlasses, one knife, six mobile phones, one pumping machine, two radios, and seven wraps of Indian hemp.
The sources added that the suspects and recovered exhibits are currently in custody of the Nigerian Air Force for further investigation.
