Four suspected kidnappers arrested in rijau, rifle and ammunition recovered

Four men suspected to be members of a kidnapping gang have been arrested by security forces in Dukku Village, Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
Sources said the suspects were apprehended at about 1:45 p.m. on Thursday after credible intelligence indicated the presence of armed men in the community.
Those arrested were identified as Daniel Kudu, 31; Mohammadu Wasse, 25; Emmanuel Iko, 28; and Sofada John, 27, all males from Dabai Sime in Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Items recovered from the suspects included one locally made AK-47 rifle with 10 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and a jackknife, which were allegedly found in the possession of Sofada John.
Residents of Dukku Village said the arrest has brought a sense of relief to the area, which has witnessed repeated security scares in recent weeks.
Security sources, Investigations are ongoing to determine the gang’s operations, possible links to other crimes in the area, and to track down any additional collaborators.
