Ghana Man arrested for allegedly stealing police armoured vehicle

A man, Ebenezer Frimpong, has been arrested for allegedly stealing an armoured vehicle belonging to the Ghana Police Service at Nkawie Market in the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the driver of the armoured vehicle briefly stepped out, leaving the engine running.
Frimpong was said to have taken advantage of the situation, entered the vehicle, and drove off from the busy market area.
Security operatives immediately launched a pursuit upon receiving reports of the theft, tracking the suspect along the Nkawie–Mim route.
He was subsequently intercepted and arrested near Mim after a coordinated effort by law enforcement officers.
The stolen armoured vehicle was successfully recovered without damage.
Authorities have since taken the suspect into custody, while investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
