Gov. Kefas supports military with gunboats, MRAPs, gun trucks in Taraba

 Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba has inaugurated new security assets to boost military operations and enhance safety across the state’s waterways and vulnerable communities.

 

The assets include four patrol gunboats, four Mine Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAP) vehicles, four Toyota Armoured Gun Trucks, and the construction of jetties at Kunini, Lau and Chinkai.

 

Speaking at the commissioning, Kefas said the gesture underscored his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in tackling banditry, kidnapping, and other crimes threatening peace and development in the state.

 

He assured that government would continue to strengthen security architecture through collaboration with the military and other agencies to safeguard lives, property and investment.
