Gunmen abduct seven in Kwara community

At least seven persons, including four adults and three children, have been abducted by gunmen in Isanlu Isin area of Kwara the state.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Thursday night when armed men stormed Gaa Oloyin Manasara, Eleyinvia, shooting sporadically before whisking away their victims.
The abducted persons were identified as Adamu, male, 70 years; Olanrewaju, male, 1 year 2 months; Soliu, male, 1 year 3 months; Fatima, female, 27 years; Salamotu, female, 25 years; Ramota, female, 23 years; and Adijat, female, 3 years.
The sources said that following the report, security operatives, vigilantes, and local hunters were mobilised to the scene and had since commenced bush combing in search of the victims.
The sources said authorities have assured that efforts were ongoing to rescue the abducted persons unhurt and to arrest the perpetrators for prosecution.
