Joint Security Operation Leads to Arrest of 36 Suspects in Adamawa

Troops of 232 Battalion (Tactical), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police, NSCDC, local hunters and vigilante groups, have conducted a joint raid operation targeting suspected criminal hideouts within Mubi metropolis in Adamawa State.
Security sources said the operation took place at about 12:05 a.m. on May 9, 2026, under Sector 4 Area of Responsibility.
During the coordinated raid, a total of 36 suspected criminals were arrested from various locations within the town.
The suspects have since been handed over to the Nigeria Police, Mubi Division, for further investigation and necessary action.
Security authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to rid urban centres in Adamawa State of criminal elements and strengthen public safety.
