A kidnapped student of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, Miss Favour Ayuba, has reportedly regained her freedom and is undergoing medical check-up following her abduction within the university community.

Security sources said troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), deployed at PLASU, received information about the student's release at about 7:20 p.m. on November 1, 2026.

The development followed an earlier report of her kidnapping within the university premises in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State on October 31.

The sources said the student was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical examination to assess her condition after the incident.

Further details regarding the circumstances of her release, the identity of her abductors and whether any arrests had been made were not immediately available.

The development comes amid ongoing security operations by troops of Operation Enduring Peace to address kidnapping and other criminal activities across Plateau State.
