Kidnapped traditional leader rescued in Katsina

Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammadu Bello, a 60-year-old traditional leader and Wakilin Hakimin Matazu, who was abducted on Saturday, has been rescued by security operatives.

 

The victim was safely recovered around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Maharba Village in Matazu Local Government Area, following sustained search efforts.

 

He was immediately taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, for medical evaluation before being reunited with his family.

 

Investigation into the circumstances surrounding his abduction and the identity of the perpetrators is ongoing.
