Kogi Jailbreak: Three Fugitives Captured, Prison Officer Killed—NCS Boss

Three out of the twelve inmates who escaped from the Koton Karfe Correctional Centre in Kogi State have been rearrested, the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) has confirmed.

Speaking at the facility on Monday, Acting Controller General of the NCS, Sly Nwakuche, described the jailbreak as tragic, revealing that one of the correctional officers was killed during the escape.

He assured the public that no effort would be spared in apprehending the remaining fugitives, vowing that justice would be served.

Nwakuche also appealed to the public to assist security agencies with credible information that could lead to the arrest of the remaining escapees.
