Troops Foil Armed Robbery in Plateau, Neutralise Suspect, Recover Arms

Troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN have foiled an armed robbery along the Bokkos-Richa road in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, neutralising a notorious armed robber and recovering arms.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on March 24 at about 9:10 p.m. when troops, conducting Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A, responded to a distress call about an ongoing robbery.

 

The  troops swiftly mobilised to the scene and engaged the criminals, overpowering them with superior firepower.

 

“During the encounter, one of the armed robbers was neutralised, while others fled in disarray. Troops recovered one AK-47 rifle from the neutralised criminal,”said the  sources
