Lakurawa killed woman accused of witchcraft in Sokoto

A woman has been killed allegedly accused of witchcraft, by suspected Lakurawa armed bandits in Tummunna village, Gidan-Madi area of Sokoto state.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Saturday when the bandits, in large numbers, stormed the remote community and abducted the victim, Mai-Kudi Danginjo, 45.
He said the attackers returned to the village on Sunday morning and dumped her lifeless body.
According to the sources troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, were immediately mobilised to the area.
He added that efforts were ongoing to track down and arrest the perpetrators.
