Motorcycle rider killed in road crash involving NIPSS participant in Plateau

A motorcycle rider identified as Benjamin has been killed in a road traffic accident involving a black Toyota vehicle at Vom area of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The accident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, when troops of Sector 6, Operation Enduring Peace, responded to a report of the crash.
Upon arrival, the troops found the Toyota vehicle, with registration number KLT-811 AA, Gombe, involved in the accident. The vehicle was identified as belonging to Col. Isuwa, a participant of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
The motorcycle rider, Benjamin, died from injuries sustained in the crash, while the senior military officer sustained injuries and was evacuated to a hospital for medical attention.
The deceased’s remains were subsequently deposited at a morgue by Keystone K, Vom Division, while the damaged vehicle was also recovered to the same facility.
The family of the deceased has been contacted as authorities commence investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Security personnel and relevant authorities are expected to determine the circumstances that led to the collision and establish any factors that may have contributed to the fatal incident.
