Motorcycle rider killed, motorcycle snatched in Plateau

An unidentified person has been killed by suspected armed robbers who also snatched the victim’s motorcycle along the Maikatako–Foloh road in Butura District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 23, 2026, when troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), Bokkos, responded to a report of a killing and motorcycle snatching along the road.
The troops, upon arrival at the scene, discovered the lifeless body of the victim, while the suspected criminals had fled the area with the motorcycle.
The corpse was recovered and subsequently handed over to the Keystone Bokkos Divisional Police for further necessary action.
Meanwhile, security forces have commenced efforts to track and apprehend the perpetrators, while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the attack.
