The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified air operations in support of Operation HADIN KAI, consolidating security gains and reinforcing stability across the Northeast, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has said.
Zagazola report that the CAS directed Air Vice Marshal PN Amadi, Chief of Operations, Headquarters NAF, to visit NAF Base Maiduguri on March 11 to assess operational readiness and the Base’s capacity to sustain high-tempo joint operations.
During the visit, the Air Component and 105 Composite Group provided briefings on operational performance and Base Defence preparedness. The CAS emphasised that the Air Force remains focused on maintaining persistent air presence, delivering precision effects, and providing critical support for joint forces to sustain operational superiority.
Air Vice Marshal Amadi also visited Headquarters Theatre Command, Operation HADIN KAI, reaffirming NAF’s commitment to seamless integration with ground forces for enduring security outcomes.
The leadership visits coincided with precision air operations in the Sambisa general area on March 11, which resulted in the destruction of four hostile gun trucks and associated logistics assets following credible intelligence and sustained surveillance.
Earlier, the Air Officer Commanding Tactical Air Command, Air Vice Marshal MC Ekwueme, visited NAF Base Maiduguri to boost personnel morale and reinforce commitment to operational excellence.
The CAS reaffirmed that the Nigerian Air Force would continue to dominate the air domain, protect civilians, and support joint forces in consolidating hard-won gains for lasting national security.
