Nigerian Military kills 39 Boko Haram/ISWAP in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army have killed about 39 Boko Haram/ Islamic State of West African Province(ISWAP), terrorists during series of clearance operation in the North East of Borno state, Zagazola Learnt.

The terrorists were killed in April 25, during a joint clearance Operations by the troops of Operation Hadin Kai in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task(CJTF), in Mallum Maja, Gosama and Tesa villages in Dikwa Local Government Area.

A Competent Military Sources, told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad that the troops took the terrorists by surprise when they stormed their hideouts, killing them in a silent operations.

Zagazola understand that some of the terrorists were carrying their guns at the time of the encounter while others were trapped without their weapons.

One Civilian JTF who spoke in Kanuri Language in a 2:54 second video seen said they killed 39 of them and seized 8 AK 47 and 4 Guntrucks from them.

"We are still hunting for them in that thick smoke where that fire is burning. We are in their villages and we finish them all. That is one of their weapons with the Commander,"he said.

Another Civilian JTF who appeared in the video said that nobody has ever done any like this in Dikwa, 39 Boko Haram so far killed.

The Intelligent sources said the renewed onslaught under the ongoing “Operation Lake Sanity” being conducted by troops of Operation Hadin and Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) “Operation Desert Sanity” has been yielding positive results.
