Nigerian soldier killed self after being discovered To be working with Boko Haram/ISWAP

The Nigerian soldier attached to Army Battalion in Gaidam Lence Corporal Jubril have reportedly shot himself 

after he was discovered and apprehended for conspiring with Boko Haram/ISWAP  in the ongoing face-off between the military and militants, Zagazola learnt.

An Intelligent officer, told Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad that things began to be suspicious about the soldier when he dissapeared from his duty post for two days.

The sources said that on April 21,  the Soldier was sighted among the terrorists who Attacked a local bar in  Gaidam and killed about 9 people. 

He said  "On the strength of this, his Commanding Officer, one Lt. Col. Mikah, tracked his phone and he was pinpointed at a point in Gashua, in Bade Local Government hundreds of kilometers from his supposed duty post. 

"Another Bar came under attack in Gashua, where one person was killed and seven others were injured. It was believed that Jubril was one of the coordinator,"said the sources.

He  explained that a Signal was immediately  sent to the Army base in Gashua and dragnets were spread out for him. Tuesday morning, Jibrin disguised himself and boarded a bus to Gombe state, but was identified and nabbed at the checkpoint in Gashua. 

It was gathered that Jubril was arrested and handcuffed on transit to Geidam, when he employed his skills as a weapon instructor, snatched a gun from one of his escorts, overpowered the other and blew himself up.

His revelations when he was arrested and interrogated, however led to the arrest of some of his terror-brethren in Service. 

Jibrin, a Babur from Biu,  was in the Intelligence Corps of before becoming a weapons instructor.
