Nigerian Troops Conduct Successful Raid on Armed Robbers in Taraba State

The troops Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Taraba state have successfully carried out a raid against suspected armed robbers and bandits in Ikaiyo Forest, located under Chonku Ward in Wukari Local Government Area.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the raid, conducted on July 7, 2024, followed intelligence received from sources regarding the hideout of the suspected criminals.
He said that upon arrival at the forest, the troops engaged in a firefight, neutralizing one terrorist. The operation resulted in the recovery of one AK-47 rifle with registration number KR 3686, 39 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and one magazine. The makeshift camp used by the bandits was destroyed.
