The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested two armed robbery suspects and recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla, 2017 model, with registration number 01C 11 NS, snatched at gunpoint at Kabusa Junction, Apo.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the  arrest followed a distress call received at about 10:15 p.m. from one Ayuba Wandai Usman of Plot 1980, Apo Resettlement, reporting that his sister’s vehicle had been taken by three armed men.

“Acting on the report, police operatives tracked the car to an uncompleted building along Oladipupo Diya Street, Durumi. Upon arrival, officers found two men vandalizing the vehicle. The suspects attempted to escape but were chased down and apprehended.

“A subsequent raid on the uncompleted building led to the arrest of ten males and three females, and the recovery of various machinery suspected to be used for criminal activities,”he said.

He said the  stolen vehicle, which had already been tampered with by the criminals, was towed to the police station for further investigation.

Police sources confirmed that the suspects are currently providing useful information to aid ongoing investigations while assuring  the public of continued efforts to curb criminal activities in the FCT.
