Nigerian Troops foils two communal violence, arrest suspect with ammunitions

The Nigerian Army troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN have again foiled two attempted communal violence at Manchock General area in Kaura LGA of Kaduna State.

In continuation of its sting operation to flush out criminal elements on the plateau and its environs, the troops conducted aggressive patrols at flash points and volatile areas within Mangu, Barkin Ladi and Barkin Ladi ans Bokkos LGAs in plateau.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, that at about 020130A Mah 24, the troops foiled two attempted attacks after responding to a distress call on attempted attacks by unidentified persons at Manchock General area in kaura LGA of Kaduna State
The sources said that the troops' quick response forced the criminals to flee. Troops combed the surrounding area and recovered one fabricated rifle and quantities of 8x rounds of 7.62MM. Efl
The troops later arrested one Mr Bukus Micah 25 years with 1 Ak47 magazine loaded with 10 rounds of 7.63MM St Panyam in Mangu LGA of pleateau state.
The suspects have been taken to the military custody for profiling and further investigation while efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
The source urged the citizens to prioritize peace over violence, eschew taking laws into their hands and ensure agreed persons seek redress through the law enforcement agencies.
