Niger Republic strengthen security against Nigeria and Benin republic

Niger's Transition Government uthes its armed forces to remain vigilant against any potential hostile acts, particularly from neighboring countries to the south, including Nigeria and Benin Republic. 

 

In a statement released the Transition government of Niger emphasized the importance of peace, security, and national unity as precursors to the country's development. 

 

Issoufou Ibrahim Zabeirou, in coordination with Ismael Daouda, highlighted the government's primary focus on strengthening defense and securing the national territory.

 

“Despite the significant growth in capabilities of Niger's Security and Defense Forces (SDFs), the government remains vigilant to potential hostile acts, particularly from neighboring countries to the south, including Nigeria and Benin,”said Ismael Daouda.

 

In a related development, Niger shared a two-year-old video showing negotiations between bandit groups and government forces during President Muhammadu Buhari's administration in Nigeria. 

 

Niger concluded that the video raises concerns about potential security threats from neighboring countries Nigeria and Benin republic.
