Nigerian Troops repel Boko Haram attack on Nigeria military formation

Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai have repelled an attack on a military formation by Boko Haram militants in the North East of Borno state.

The attack, in the town of Wajiroko in Damboa Local Government Area, was carried out by a Boko Haram faction in five guntrucks.

An Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad that the troops engaged the terrorists in a gun battle that lasted for morethan one hourz.

The sources said that the terrorists were routed by the troops forcing them to fled in disarray on sighting the Air Task Force Super Tucano jet.

"The terrorists decided themselves into three and fled in separate direction. One group ran through Auma, the other group ran toward Agikur while the third group escaped through Litawa axis in Damboa,"the sources said.
