One farmer killed, another injured in Taraba herdsmen attack

A 29-year-old man, Sylvester Ojuku, has been killed while another injured resident following an attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Mongadoso community, Karim Lamido Local Government Area.

Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the incident occurred on Wednesday at about 1:05 p.m. while the victims were returning from their farm.

The sources said that the attackers ambushed the victims, resulting in the death of Ojuku and severe injury to one Skina Daniel, who sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg.

Upon receiving the distress call, a team of security personnel were swiftly deployed to the scene but upon their arrival the bandits had fled.

The victims were evacuated to a primary health care hospital, where Ojuku was confirmed dead, while Daniel is currently receiving treatment.
