Operation Fansan Yamma Troops Neutralise Explosives on Zamfara Road

Troops of Sector 2, Operation Fansan Yamma, have recovered and neutralised explosive devices planted by suspected terrorists along the Magami–Hannutara–Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, averting a potential tragedy involving commuters.
The operation followed credible intelligence about explosive devices planted along the road, prompting troops to secure the affected area and conduct a thorough search.
During the operation, the troops identified two locations where the explosives had been planted. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was subsequently deployed to handle the devices.
The team successfully destroyed one of the devices and safely recovered and rendered the other harmless.
The troops have intensified patrols and surveillance along the route to protect commuters, safeguard nearby communities and prevent further threats.
Operation Fansan Yamma urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency to support ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the area.
