OPWS troops neutralise terrorist, arrest another in Benue

Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have neutralised a suspected terrorist and arrested another during an offensive operation in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The operation was conducted at about 8:32 a.m. on Sept. 28 at Kyado, where the troops engaged terrorists at the Pevikya terrorist enclave in Adomanyi.
During the encounter, the troops neutralised one terrorist and apprehended another, while other members of the group fled the area.
One AK-47 rifle magazine was recovered from the fleeing terrorists and is currently in the custody of the troops alongside the arrested suspect for further investigation and necessary action.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by OPWS to disrupt terrorist activities and strengthen security across vulnerable communities in Benue State.
