Police arrest notorious IPOB/ESN militia leader  and head of Multimedia unit in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a notorious leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.

 

Zagazola learnt that  the operation took place on July 15 at about 2:00 a.m., following credible intelligence on the suspect’s whereabouts.

 

Police sources told Zagazola Makama that the  suspect, identified as Gospel Ozioma Nneto, also known as “OZ”, aged 31, hails from Issieke Awo-Idemili community in Orsu LGA of Imo State but resides in Anambra.

 

Upon arrest, Nneto reportedly confessed to being a committed member of the proscribed terrorist group and a serial killer responsible for multiple attacks across Imo and Anambra States. 

 

He also admitted to serving as a photographer  and head of multimedia for the group, operating from one of their major camps known as “Mother Valley,” located between Orsumohu and Orsu villages.

 

Police say the  suspect is currently in custody and is said to be providing useful information.
