Police Arrest Suspected Bandit, Kidnapper in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a suspected member of a notorious armed bandit and kidnapping gang terrorizing Kajuru Local Government Area and its environs.
The suspect, identified as Kadiri Alhaji Danbuwa, a 20-year-old resident of Ruga, Kajuru, was apprehended in Maraban Kajuru on February 17 at about 4:20 p.m. following a credible intelligence report.
According to intelligence sources, a team of detectives, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru, launched a swift operation that led to Danbuwa’s arrest.
“During interrogation, the suspect admitted to being part of the criminal gang responsible for several cases of kidnapping and banditry in the area,” a police source revealed.
The command stated that efforts are ongoing to track and arrest other members of the gang who are currently at large. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
