Police arrest three suspects over killing, kidnapping in Kaduna community

The Police in Kaduna have arrested three suspects in connection with a deadly attack, kidnapping, and culpable homicide in Rigachikun axis of Igabi Local Government Area.
Zagazola learnt that the incident occurred on Sept. 5 at about 1:15 a.m. when a group of armed men invaded the Fulani Ruga settlement of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim at Ardon Fanshanu, Gadangayan.
The attackers shot sporadically, fatally injuring his son, Aminu Abubakar, 35. They also kidnapped two other residents, Bashiru Muhammad, 25, and Aliyu Muhammad, 23, to an unknown destination.
“On receiving the report, the Officer-in-Charge of Gadangayan and Amana Police outposts mobilised operatives, in collaboration with sister security agencies, and proceeded to the scene.
“One live round of AK-47 ammunition was recovered at the scene, while the team traced the footsteps of the kidnappers to the Fulani Ruga settlement of one Bature Bello in Kangimi village, Igabi LGA.
“During the search, a yellow raincoat and a charmed jacket were recovered. Consequently, police arrested the said Bello, 47, his son, Inuwa Bature, 17, and Amadu Bello a.k.a. Gagare, 46, all of the same address,”said the sources.
He added that during a search of nearby bushes, the kidnapped victims were found fatally injured by the assailants. They were rushed to hospital where doctors confirmed them dead.
The suspects and exhibits, sources said, had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for detailed investigation.
