Police rescue 15 abducted victims in Zamfara, three remain in captivity

The Zamfara State Police Command has rescued 15 victims of abduction in Bungudu LGA, authorities said on Wednesday.
According to sources m, the patrol team, while on routine patrol at about 1530hrs, intercepted and rescued the victims who had been abducted earlier, sometime in December 2025.
The rescued individuals were taken to Nahuche Primary Health Care for medical treatment.
Available information indicated that seven of the victims died while in captivity, and three others remain unaccounted for, with ongoing efforts to secure their release.
The police have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and to curbing abduction in the state.
