Police Rescue Ten Kidnapped Victims After Intense Gun Battle in Ohosu Forest

The Delta State Police have successfully rescued ten kidnapped victims following a fierce gun battle with armed kidnappers in Ohosu forest, a known hotspot for criminal activity in the state.

 

The rescue operation, which took place in the early hours of April 17, followed an intense pursuit of the kidnappers who had taken the victims into the forest. 

 

According to a police sources, the kidnappers were chased deep into the forest, with evidence of blood stains found along their trail, indicating that they had sustained injuries during the confrontation.

 

After a prolonged chase, the kidnappers, realizing their inability to escape, released the victims unharmed before fleeing the scene. During the operation, one police officer, identified only as an Inspector, sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks and is currently receiving medical treatment.

 

The police sources confirmed that all ten victims were rescued without any injuries and are in safe custody. Efforts to apprehend the kidnappers remain ongoing, with a manhunt in full swing.
