Robbery Attack in Jigawa Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Unknown gunmen on motorcycles have attacked a shop in Garko Quarters, Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State, killing one person and injuring another.
Sources said the incident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on Feb. 25 when the assailants stormed the shop belonging to one Kawu and carried out a robbery operation.
In the course of fleeing the scene, the hoodlums reportedly shot two young men identified as Abdullahi Jiyan, 18, of Jiyan Kirikasamma LGA, and Babangida Hamza, 19, of Yayari Quarters, Hadejia.
Both victims were rushed to the General Hospital in Hadejia, where Abdullahi was certified dead, while Hamza was treated and later discharged.
During a pursuit along Nguru Road, the fleeing suspects reportedly abandoned a Kasea motorcycle and a pair of shoes.
The police said efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the perpetrators, while investigation into the incident continues.
