Combined security forces have recovered 249 rustled cattle from a suspected terrorist camp during a clearance operation in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 6:30 a.m. on July 3 by troops of 12 Brigade in collaboration with the Nigerian Navy, Department of State Services, the Nigeria Police Force, and Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) Hybrid Forces.

According to the sources, the recovered livestock were found at a camp previously occupied by the neutralised terrorist leader, Kachalla Ibrahim Baccujo, located within Ofere Forest.

The operation led to the recovery of 249 rustled cattle, which have been taken into the custody of the ONSA Hybrid Forces pending identification and return to their rightful owners.

Military sources said the recovery forms part of sustained joint operations aimed at dismantling terrorist enclaves, disrupting criminal logistics, and restoring security across Kogi State.
