Troops intercept hard drug couriers, rescue abducted victims in Zamfara

Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have intercepted suspected logistics couriers transporting hard drugs and motorcycle spare parts from Lagos to Zamfara State.
Nigerian Army said that the suspects were arrested during an operation by troops of 8 Division Garrison.
The suspects have been handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS) for further investigation.
In a related operation, troops of 1 Brigade responded to distress calls in Anka Local Government Area, rescuing abducted victims and neutralizing several terrorists during a pursuit.
