Security forces rescue seven abducted passengers in Zamfara

Security forces in Zamfara state have successfully rescued seven passengers abducted by suspected bandits along the Kaura Namoda–Shinkafi road in Moriki district of Zurmi local government area.
Zagazola Makama reliably gathered that the incident happened at about 6 p.m. on june 13, when suspected armed bandits blocked the highway at Kwanar Boko, intercepted and attacked commercial vehicles.
The suspects subsequently abducted an unspecified number of passengers. upon receiving the report, security forces combed the area, the team was able to rescue seven victims , four men and three women unharmed.
The rescued victims were taken to moriki police station for debriefing and eventual reunion with their families. meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to rescue the rest of the victims still in captivity.
