Security Forces Rescue Two Kidnap Victims, Arrest Two Suspects in Bauchi

Two kidnapped victims have been rescued in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State following a coordinated security operation that also led to the arrest of two suspects.

 

Security sources said the rescue was carried out on June 3 at about 2045 hours by operatives attached to the Pali Police Outstation after credible intelligence on the whereabouts of the victims.

 

The victims, identified as Zainab Sale Yaro, 40, and her son, Manu Yaro, 25, both of Kwarin Gada in Pali District, were abducted on June 2 before being tracked and safely recovered.

 

Following the operation, two suspects were arrested in connection with the abduction. They were identified as Umar Garba, 60, and Buba Alhaji Umaru, both of Dalagade Village in the same district.

 

The victims were subsequently taken to the Bauchi State Specialist Hospital for medical examination and observation.

 

Security sources confirmed that another suspect, Ahmadu Umaru, is currently at large, while efforts have been intensified to track and apprehend him.

 

Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the kidnapping and the roles of all suspects involved.
