Soldier injured in road accident during patrol in Plateau

A soldier serving with Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, Operation SAFE HAVEN, sustained minor injuries in a road traffic accident while on patrol in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Military sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 8:10 p.m. on Sept. 5 along Haske Quarters, Jos North, while the troops were conducting a night patrol on motorcycles.
The soldier, identified as Pte. Lohpon Peter, sustained bruises to his hand and face following the accident.
He was immediately evacuated to a nearby clinic where he received medical attention.
The incident was described as a road traffic accident, with no indication of hostile involvement.
