Troops respond to alleged farm destruction in Jos East

JOS, Sept. 7, 2026: Troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, Operation SAFE HAVEN, have commenced efforts to track persons suspected of destroying a farmland in Babawo Village, Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Military sources told Zagazola Makama that the troops responded to a report of alleged malicious farm destruction along the Babawo Village road at about 5:35 p.m. on Sept. 6.
Upon arrival at the location, the troops discovered that a farmland belonging to one Monday Azi had allegedly been grazed by unidentified herders.
The perpetrators were not found at the scene when the troops arrived.
The troops have commenced efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the alleged destruction, while security personnel continue to monitor the area to prevent further incidents.
