Suspect Arrested with Firearm and Police Uniform in Niger State

A 20-year-old suspect, Abdullahi Sani, was arrested by Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) personnel in Niger State on April 11, 2025, following intelligence from Terrorpol Base 12.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that Sani, a resident of Rafin-Daji Bangi, Abuja, was apprehended at Gidan-Gwana in Saminaka, Gurara Local Government Area, while in possession of a fabricated AK-49 rifle, one magazine containing three live 7.62x39mm ammunition, a police uniform (denim), a bulletproof vest, and a red beret.
Police sources said that the suspect is currently undergoing interrogation, and further investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of his involvement in any criminal activities.
