Suspected Boko Haram terrorists abduct man in Adamawa community

Boko Haram terrorists have abducted a man in Mayo Village, Kirchiga District of Madagali Local Government Area.

Sources said that the incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on Sept. 18.

The sources said that about 20 gunmen armed with sophisticated weapons invaded the community through Bitiku bush, which shares a border with Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

“The insurgents abducted one Friday Wazumtu, 43, of Mayo Village in Madagali LGA,” he said.

Army troops were promptly deployed to the scene, but the attackers fled. The sources said that the team had commenced trailing the footprints of the abductors with a view to rescuing the victim and arresting the perpetrators.
