Three soldiers wounded in ISWAP IED attack in North East of Borno

At least three soldiers  attached to the 25 task force brigade of operation Hadin Kai have been reportedly wounded after running into an improvised explosive device (IED) in Borno.

 

The IED was allegedly planted by  Islamic State of the West African Province.

 

An Intelligence Sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad that the troops encountered the IED during a fighting patrol between  Sabon Gari - Wajiroko on April 14, 2023.

 

He said that during the incident, three soldiers sustained minor bruises on their bodies and also reacting to shock from the blast.

 

Also, one  hilux vehicle involved in the blast was damaged while the wounded troops were immediately evacuated to the hospital for medical attention.
