Troops arrest four suspected drug dealers, recover drone and narcotics in Edo

Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation MESA have arrested four suspected drug dealers during an operation in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Security sources said the suspects were arrested at about 1:00 a.m. on March 15 by troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army and 195 Battalion Nigerian Army deployed in Okpella.
The operation was carried out around the Fertilizer area of Okpella following intelligence reports on suspected illicit drug activities in the community.
During the raid, troops recovered a Yd JIA reconnaissance drone, sachets of tramadol, cannabis and crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice”.
The soldiers also recovered the sum of N1,320,000 believed to be proceeds from the suspected illegal drug trade.
Security sources said the suspects and the recovered items were currently in military custody pending further investigation and handover to relevant authorities for prosecution
